Promotes an adequate
territorial management
in municipalities,
communities and private
properties through
planning instruments.

Department:
Provides the scientific basis
and the tools so that different
stakeholders can optimize
their management of biodiversity
conservation.

Prepares and applies scientific concepts
and tools based on the
latest principles of conservation
science, promoting biodiversity
conservation.
Environmental Information Laboratory
Unit: Guarantees
the optimum use of geographical
information tools available
for all of FAN's activities
to improve their quality.
Botanical
Research and Development
Unit: Develops
alternatives for the sustainable
use of native phytodiversity
in Bolivia.
Live
Specimen Collection and
Flora Research Unit: Provides
training for taxonomic-flora
research to complement
the activities of conservation
and reinforce the scientific
expertise of FAN.
Department
for Institutional Development:
Guarantees the quality of
internal management and
optimizes external relationships
to achieve institutional
sustainability.
Projects. Organization and
Methods Unit (Institutional
Development):
Controls the functional
efficiency of the organization,
the quality of the techniques
used and directs the management
of the portfolio of projects.
FAN
Publishing Unit: Distributes
and facilitates scientific
knowledge about Bolivian
biodiversity, publishing
scientific documents about
biodiversity to establish
a mechanism for environmental
education and the dissemination
of scientific information.
Communication
Unit:
Promotes
the social awareness and
public support for biodiversity
conservation and encourages
the support of the organization.
Sustainable Biotrade
National Program:
Supports
technically and financially
productive initiatives and
the commercialization of
biodiversity goods and
services, produced under
criterions of
sustainability.
The Sustainable Biotrade
National Program is a
National Government Program
that has been delegated to
FAN.
